How true!!!! lol I have to admit, this joke is ME! And almost 20 years later, I have to think real hard to remember that "romance" part,

You might as well laugh, to keep from crying! Right?!?! Please tell me I'm right...

"After the Honeymoon"

A young couple got married and left on their honeymoon. When they got back, the bride immediately called her mother.

"Well, how was the honeymoon?" asked the mother.

"Oh, mama," she replied, "the honeymoon was wonderful! So romantic..."
Suddenly she burst out crying. "But, mama, as soon as we returned, Sam started using the most horrible language. He's been saying things I've never heard before! All these awful 4-letter words! You've got to come get me and take me home... please mama!"

"Sarah, Sarah," her mother said, "calm down! Tell me, what could be so awful? What 4-letter words has he been using?"

"Please don't make me tell you, mama," wept the daughter, "I'm so embarrassed! They're just too awful! You've got to come get me and take me home... please mama!"

"Darling, baby, you must tell me what has you so upset...Tell your mother these horrible 4-letter words!"

Still sobbing, the bride replied, "Oh, mama...words like Dust, Wash, Iron, and Cook..."

Laugh a lot! It delights your friends and confounds your enemies!

The Improper Adoptee said...

Yeah, you know what, I think that is what happens to alot of Adoptive Mothers. They get the spoiled brat privledge of buying another woman's baby, and having their poor me I can't get pregnant syndrome totally overly catered too by those that want their money. Then after they are handed an infant, that belongs to another woman, in their me, me, me, mindset they go around acting like the whole adoption is like them being at their own baby shower and they are the center of attention. But when reality hits, and they realize a child is alot of work, changing diapers, cooking, cleaning, and that the baby is just as important as they are (which they want to ignore), oh suddenly the whole thing just isn't any fun anymore. At least that is how my Adoptive Mother is....and that is how I was raised...
