During his monologue, Conan was talking about how the Harbaugh brothers will be facing off against each other in the upcoming Super Bowl. Then said "their mom promises that whatever the outcome, she plans on calling the loser and telling him that he is adopted."
Archaic "sealed records" laws in adoption strip us of our original birth certificates. We are viewed as "perpeptual children" under the law. Seven US states have passed legislation supported by The Child Welfare League of America, restoring our civil right to obtain our obc's just like every other American citizen. But millions of American adoptees live without the life-saving knowledge of their own identities.
It's no joking matter. And eventually we will win.

Actually I prefer the honesty that puts the lie to the Great Mythology of adoption culturally speaking. I wish it had not been cowardly edited out of the video online. On Twitter, Conan refers to himself as the "voice of the people"; I'd rather we hear this voice straight up. I can take it.
